Day 2 Dare to Dresden

How fun is this hop?  It is so exciting to get to be a participant.
Thank you to Madame Samm for her spectacular idea and to our cheerleader Christine for all her hard work.
This is the second Dresden I have made. I see so many more in my future. They are so much fun.
I have always wanted to hang a color wheel in my sewing room.  But I did not want it printed art, I thought I should make one. Alas, I had no idea how
UNTIL
this hop!
I thought this would be a perfect solution to my problem.
So in pictures here is my color wheel.

Choosing fabrics.

Had to use some Katie Jump Rope and my Kerchief Girls!

All cut and arranged.

Ready to sew.

Done!
It was so windy out I had a hard time capturing a decent picture.

Oh my goodness, I had so much fun and she is now proudly in my sewing room.
Thank you for your visit and please visit these other talented ladies.

I love the color wheel. I made a color wheel Dresden baby quilt with several Dresden plates on it in the mid 1970's all by hand as they had no rulers and rotary cutters then. I gave it away and I don't think I even took a photo of it. The fabrics are so much better now than they were then. Your's is beautiful.

Just Carol said...

What a great idea to make the Dresden into a a color wheel! Of course, I'd have to have a lesson on what a color wheel is and how to use it...work on that for me please. Your pics really show off that little square, but I agree with Madame Samm that it looks huge with the trees behind it. Lovely Dresden!
